Yes, it works. It is working for me. It is not easy and it takes time and patience. You won't make a lot of money right away. If you aren't diligent you will never make a lot of money. You will make some money though as long as you don't quit.

Take it easy, Monica.
Don't think too much and just go according to the training.
Take it step-by-step and without realising it, you should have accomplished much ... unless you stop taking action.
You are right ... just keeps plugging away at the remaining lessons but without the "see what happens".
You have access to a lot of resources here .... when you are stuck, just shoot your doubts, questions, etc to the WA community here, especially your personal mentor, and do not forget Kyle too.
