How To Get Into The Zone.

It's a lazy Sunday afternoon, and I figured I would sit down and start typing. It's 97 degrees out, and I'm in my den in my air conditioned basement, sitting in front of the laptop...

I set a timer to force myself to focus, Pareto Principle style... But after 40 minutes, I have only written about 650 words of content....

I need some iced coffee... Or maybe I need to go for a walk to get the creative juices flowing.

Or some inspiration on how to focus, get in the zone, and start cranking out some content.

My weekend won't feel complete unless I have written 3,000 words by 11:59pm tonight!

Any ideas? How do you all get "into the zone" for writing? Are there any rituals that you follow, any "warm up exercises" that you do, to get you into that writing mood?

I write when I have 100% concentrations. If it's less I leave till am ready again.

I read WA blogs until I feel inspired that usually does the trick Hyder. If I'm really not focussing I change over to doing something else then go back. Taking a walk can help too.
Good Luck.
