Make the most of the training
How you can make the most of your training
I'm hoping that before you started reading this post you'd already started some of the fantastic training that is provided on this site. If you haven't, believe me when I say that it is AWESOME!
I have been an educator for quite some time and having experienced and read about so many different types of teaching and learning I must say that the step-by-step training you will receive will be invaluable to you IF you DO what it says. It works if you are prepared to work it!
So if you're just starting out, here is a suggested plan of action. I hope it helps!
A systematic approach to working through the training:
1. Set aside some time
You are going to get the most out of the training if you are free of distractions and interruptions. If you sit down in the middle of a noisy room, or near to your phone or constant reminders of the 1001 other things you have to be doing you will most likely end up having to repeat those wasted minutes or hours at a later date. If on the other hand you can get yourself a quiet spot where you can concentrate, you will really begin to see the true value of what you will be studying. Also, set aside a specific amount of time and then if you are free afterwards any additional time can be a bonus. 1 hour of dedicated time can prove to be much more useful than 3 hours of sporadic reading, listening, re-reading and re-listening.
2. Set a learning goal and STICK TO IT!
Rather than setting yourself the challenge of motoring through ALL of the lessons in one sitting, set a smaller goal of going through a lesson and completing the tasks before progressing on to the next lesson. Interim goals provide you with a sense of achievement, which in turn boosts your confidence, spurring you on to continue and achieve more success.
3. There's nothing wrong with incentives
Most of us are big kids inside. If we know we are going to get a treat as a result of doing something we are more likely to give ourselves that little push to do things properly. When faced with tougher tasks, such as writing a decent 'About' page or beginning to create quality content for your website, try to give yourself an incentive like watching your favourite movie, reading your favourite book or buying your favourite dessert! Whatever floats your boat, the main idea is that you are able to see a short-term benefit which will encourage action that carries longer-term benefit.
4. Keep your eye on the bigger picture
While working through the training and tasks, it is worth revisiting your long-term goals. Spend a little time thinking about how great you're going to feel when your website is up and running... when you are beginning to feel and see real change happening in your life... you are even confident enough to give someone else help and advice and thereby contribute to their success. This will help to give you focus. Just think, every time you complete a task you are getting closer to your ultimate goal.
5. Play it again Sam!
Finally once you get into a rhythm with all of the above, repeat the process. Those who grow the most are those who are always learning. It is not advisable to consider yourself to be the complete and finished article. If you stop growing as a person (not literally of course) your life begins to stagnate and you will notice that you're going nowhere fast. On the other hand, once you are on the road to personal growth, keep moving.
I hope this has been useful to you. Thanks for taking the time to read it.
Congratulations in advance!!!

Even the smallest thing like losing weight or quitting smoking. WA has helped me to change my thinking from short term instant gratification to long term thinking-I think that's been my problem when it comes to getting results in any endevour. Thanks for posting this!
