Time Flies - Six months at WA - An update

Man, it's hard to believe that I have been here for 6 months already. It's also hard to believe how far I have progressed in some areas and not so much in others.

On the positive side, I have broken the 500 followers level and am following about 515. I have a developing website with 6, (soon to be 7), pages and have written content for 10 blogs, (soon to be 11), and I have worked my way, slowly, through to course 3, lesson 2 of the "Getting Started" program. I am even starting to get some traffic and have received some positive comments as well. It's fun to watch it happen.

With the help of some of the other members, (Loes, JP, Dave, Wayne, TechiSmart, JimBo, and others), I have been able to solve some issues with my site that, (in my humble opinion), have improved it greatly and for that I shout out a BIG THANK YOU.

Writing is becoming easier and more natural. Researching the content is becoming more fun as well, especially for the upcoming blog on my site which is about Solar Power for RV's.

Within the next week, I am going to start applying for affiliate programs and get the money making process underway. Some would say, What!!! You haven't done that yet?" If for no other reason I have held off doing that because I wanted to be sure that I had enough content. So, I will review lesson 2 again and proceed.

On the downside, procrastination, time, commitments, work, a nasty cold, and energy have been holding me back some but have not stopped me from pushing forward.

Future goals? Because of the above paragraph, I have been averaging a post about every 2 weeks. THAT IS NOT GOOD ENOUGH!! I want to boost that to at least one a week and hopefully, when I change departments at work my shift schedule will change and I will have more time to commit to my website.

I am really excited about the potential I see to make money from my site and seeing my dreams come true and in spite of my slow progress, There is no way I'm giving up till that happens.

The struggles I'm having are the same struggles that many of us have and are going through yet if we persevere the success will come. I believe that we all have that in us and even when we feel like it's too hard that's when we need to push through, WE NEED TO PUSH THROUGH. I/you can do this.

We are all in training here and when we hit one of those mountains in our website journey we must keep putting one foot in front of the other. As I said in my last blog, we must be realistic about how fast we can learn this. WE all learn at different levels.

So don't let those MIND MOUNTAINS, (that IS what they are, it's us stopping ourselves. Most of the time we create our own MOUNTAINS), again, DON'T let those Mind Mountains stop you from achieving your goals. COMMIT, PERSERVIER, AND PUSH ON, don't let the money you invested in WA go to waste.

We found and signed up here at WA, and maybe you don't feel it yet, but just doing that and if you don't give up, you are already a success.

So, God Bless and KEEP ON!!

Keep up the great progress!

Thanks for the encouragement. I ain't quittin. NO WAY and NO HOW! Onward and upward, as they say.

Well done Wayne congratulations on your progress, really like the analogy with regards the mind mountains, classic. best wishes for the next six months.

Thanks, Alexander, (my brother's middle name), for leaving a comment. I am hoping that by the end of the next six I will be making at least 4 figures or more. That is my goal.

All the best to you in your journey and I hope it's already going well. Will now push your "Follow Me" button.

Great post Wayne, thank you - it shows we are all human :)

Hi Wayne, thanks for sharing. Congrats on your progress. You´ll get where you want to be in your own good time. We can´t all be hares, eh.

Yup, that's right and thanks for your words of encouragement. The next 6 months should prove interesting, just have to get that "Procrastination Backpack" off my shoulders and get on with business.

Thanks for sharing Wayne!
I like that quote:There is no elevator to success, you have to take the
stairs!!!
Everything slowly...

You're absolutely right, Holide. One stair at a time gets us to the top and it really doesn't matter who's doing this, it's ALWAYS going to be one stair at a time. The next 6 months will be interesting. I;m kind of excited about what the future holds.

If you haven't signed up for affiliate programs yet, that shows that you are not jumping the gun and are taking things at a good pace. I admire that!
Too many people post hundreds of links on the first month and get discouraged so I congratulate you for not making this a priority!

Thanks for the kind words Emma. Part of the reason I haven't signed up was partly fear, part of it was the "P" word and, more than anything, knowing I needed to have a fair amount of content.

My niche entails promoting products that can make RV camping trips more enjoyable, and I just didn't have any product reviews on my site yet. For me, that was important. I wanted to show prospective Affiliate programs that I wasn't just blowing air. That's where my focus, be it slow, has been the last couple of months.

I'm just thinking, "Gosh, she is only 19. If she sticks with this her future will be VERY BRIGHT in a couple of years".

I'm following you now so, Don't quit and keep me posted.

WA IS SO AWESOME!!

Thank you! No I will never quit. I have a niche that I am very passionate about and would enjoy doing no matter whether I earn or not!
I wish that my Dad understood this like my mum does :-D
Your niche sounds very interesting! I wish that we could afford an RV. Camping trips in the back car are very squashed!

Hey, You follow your dream and stick to this and you will be able to afford it. Mark it on a wall somewhere to remind yourself.

I am almost 67 and what I have now I didn't have 20 years ago. You are young and you sound pretty smart and you will get there.

Sometimes, as parents, we have to see before we believe. He'll come around when he sees your success. Hey, who knows, maybe he will be one of your first WA affiliate sign-ups, (if you choose to promote WA).

Keep the dream alive and keep me posted.

The only problem is that he wants to see me studying at uni, not working at home :) So I have only this year at home (while I'm recovering from sickness) and then I'm supposed to be off to study.
I don't know what I'm going to do or tell him when this year draws to a close.
He will only believe the results in my bank account, but how likely is that to happen in one year :)

Still, I could go and study (to keep him happy) and still continue affiliate marketing. But it means large student loans which I was looking forward to NOT having :-D

Anyway, I'm really enjoying this! Aren't we all lucky to have such wonderful jobs and dreams!

Sorry to hear that you have been sick and hope you are well on the road to recovery.

Somehow it will work out. Yearly or Monthly? Either way, it's up in June, (just thinking out loud here), and at school in late July...early September.

Just keep the dream/goal in front of you. You CAN make it happen.

On your side, and feel free to PM me. Keep us posted.

Nice work and keep it going.

Thanks and same to you.

Very good motto: "If you don't give up, you are already a success." What an insight into realization of objectives.

Regards.

Thanks, got to keep going.

Awesome perspective Wayne and great words of wisdom!
It's this type of commitment that separates the wannabes from the doers. Stay Motivated!!

Blessings my friend!

Thank,s PJ. Gotta keep it going, there is now other alternative.

That's a great progress! Keep it up!

Thanks, Arief.
