What's your obstacle?
What's my obstacle now? it's simply getting premium status.
But it's easy, you may say. You just have to click "upgrade premium", and then Bingo!
Not that obvious.
Although premium monthly fees equal one tenth of my salary, and given that my wife is a stay-at-home mom, I am convinced that the learning material here is worth the sacrifice.
I live in Tunisia, North Africa. I asked a couple of collegues if it's possible to pay a monthly fee online. They said "no but there's a way".
I saw hope in the "but there's a way..." part of the sentence. I purchased a travel card, only to discover that it's illegal to pay through it, and I may get busted. I asked a friend who works in Tunisia Central Bank. He told me it's nearly impossible, because the goverment is watching every international transaction you can think of. He mentioned that I may write an applicaiton to the Central Bank foreign exchange department, who will forward my case to the Ministry of Technology, where they would examine my letter. He told me "my short answer is: forget about it".
So what is my obstacle? you would say "Tunisia Central Bank".
Not really. I created my own obstacle, which sits between my ears. Right in my mind.
The Central Bank is there since more than fifty years. Its laws are written and can not be changed. But my belief can be changed.
So I may remain in WA basic mode for the rest of my life. It may take me a lot of time, trying to learn IM material from here and there. I may not quickly reach the lifestyle level that I dreamt for almost 8 years now, since my graduation. I may not be able to improve my financial situation with IM. I may not help my friends and neighbors establish their businesses online. I may not be able to make their lives happier and richer...
But that will never discourage me, and I'll do what I can with the tools that I have, thanks to the founding members Kyle and Carson. I appreciate what they do for the IM community.
So guys, be grateful that you have premium status. Don't complain that you have X number of clicks with no sales. Be patient. I got two clicks on Amazon during a whole week and I'm grateful for that. I know that what I'm doing is not enough, and perhaps won't be. But looking at my past "failures" with web design, I see that I made some good progress. Keep working toward your dreams, even if they seem near impossible. You live only once after all :)

Find a good connection in another country and pay for your account through them. All you need is a password and user name right? Just a thought.
Thanks for sharing your story. I didn't appreciate how easy it is to use PayPal for these fees. There is always a way to accomplish your goal if you never give up. It seems you have the persistence you need to make this thing work. One day, all of us beginners will throw a big party and we will celebrate how we didn't give up. I want to see you at that party. Great job!
Your an inspiration to all of us. Gratitude unfortunately is more of a disclaimer in these parts, but i am grateful you are here and i am grateful for the opportunity you are creating for others, believe it or not you are creating a small ripple in the pond. and eventually that ripple will turn in to a wave, and maybe the water will get rough enough to open the doors for good people like yourself to take advantage of opportunities like this. Until then maybe their is something we can do on our end to accomodate your spirit. I look forward to seeing your adventure please keep me posted.
Thank you for your kind words, my friends!
