Maybe I haven't gotten to it yet, but where do I find my affiliate link for WA... say I just want to email it to a friend of mine.

Hi, in the top right corner, you should see a cash icon with a circle around it. Click on it and you should see an option where you can click on "Links and Tracking". You should find your affiliate link in that tab.

Good question and all questions are good ones here!
Regarding promoting WA -- for longer term sustained success with the program, it is best to go through the Affiliate Bootcamp training ....
In the meantime, you'll find your unique WA aff, links by clicking on the $ icon to the far upper right hand corner of your WA screen, then go to Links & Tracking >> it's best to use your Main Link and it's all elaborated in the training ...
