When it comes to affiliate marketing, staying consistent and productive can be challenging. That’s why creating a tailored Daily Do List can help you focus on what truly matters. In this post, I’ll provide two practical templates to help you plan and execute your daily tasks effectively. These templates are designed to align with the specific needs of affiliate marketers, ensuring you stay organized and on track toward achieving your goals.

Why Use a Daily Do List for Affiliate Marketing?

Affiliate marketing is a multi-faceted endeavor, involving tasks like content creation, SEO, networking, and analytics. A well-structured Daily Do List helps you:

  • Prioritize high-impact tasks.
  • Maintain consistency in your efforts.
  • Track and celebrate progress.
  • Reduce overwhelm by breaking goals into manageable steps.

Whether you’re a seasoned affiliate marketer or just starting, using a Daily Do List can transform the way you work and accelerate your results.

Template 1: Basic Daily Do List for Affiliate Marketing

This template is perfect if you’re new to affiliate marketing or prefer a straightforward approach. It’s designed to keep your day focused and productive without overcomplicating things.

Template Structure:
  • Top Priority: Write the one task that will have the most impact on your business today. Example: "Write and publish a blog post on [topic]."
  • Secondary Tasks: Choose 2-3 smaller tasks to complete after your top priority:
    1. [E.g., Research 3 new keywords for your niche.]
    2. [E.g., Schedule 2 social media posts promoting recent content.]
  • Networking Task: Focus on one connection-building activity:
    • Example: "Engage in a discussion on Wealthy Affiliate or connect with an influencer in your niche."
  • Self-Care Task: Prioritize your well-being with one small action:
    • Example: "Take a 15-minute walk or meditate for 10 minutes."
  • Reflection: Spend 5 minutes reviewing your day:
    • What worked well today?
    • What could be improved?

Template 2: Advanced Affiliate Marketing Daily Do List

This template is ideal for experienced affiliate marketers or those juggling multiple projects. It incorporates a more detailed structure to cover all aspects of your business.

    2. Check and respond to important emails or Wealthy Affiliate messages.
  • Content Creation:

    2. Research and select keywords for your next piece of content.
  • SEO and Optimization:
    1. Update an older post with fresh keywords or new affiliate links.
    2. Run an SEO audit on your site using tools like Jaaxy or SEMrush.
  • Promotion:
    1. Share a new or updated blog post on 3 social media platforms.
    2. Engage with followers by replying to comments and messages.
  • Networking:
    1. Participate in one Wealthy Affiliate discussion or blog post comment thread.
    2. Reach out to an affiliate partner or mentor for advice.

    2. Read an article or case study on successful affiliate marketing strategies.

Tips for Using These Templates Effectively

  1. Customize Your List: Adapt the templates to suit your specific business goals and schedule.
  2. Start Small: If you’re new to using a Daily Do List, begin with the Basic Template and gradually add more tasks as you build momentum.
  3. Leverage Technology: Use apps like Todoist, Notion, or Trello to keep your list organized and accessible. Or don't and get yourself a paper daily planner. :-)
  4. Stay Flexible: Life happens. If you don’t complete everything, carry over unfinished tasks to the next day.
  5. Celebrate Progress: Reward yourself for completing your list—even small wins deserve recognition.

A Daily Do List is a simple yet powerful tool that can bring structure and focus to your affiliate marketing business. I totally believe in 'what gets written down, gets done'.

Just wondering - do you write your Daily Do List the night before?

I find reviewing the day early evening after dinner and making my list for the following day is a good time. If I leave it until later, I am too tired to think clearly, and if I leave it until the morning, it gets later and later in the day and ends up not getting done at all (because the dog wants to be let out, comes back in muddy, then dog and floor need to be cleaned.... and so it goes on.)

Great question! I'm bad at following my own advice. So, it depends. Like for groceries, I try to add to notes on my iPhone right on the spot when I realize I need to get something next time around.
I really need to sit down and list all the things I need to do and then prioritize them. All I've been doing these two weeks is just trying to keep up and catch up.
My job now takes me away from home and the physical installs take so much out of me that I only do work on the weekend when away. And during the time I'm home it's like a constant scramble.
Thanks so much for the question!!!!!!!!
I'm devoting the rest of the day to make a master list and run it through ChatGPT to help prioritize what benefits me most first.
Check with me tomorrow to hold me to it.
Thanks!
Les

I'm not too great following my own advice either. But I do see the difference when I prioritize and write things down.

I will check with you tomorrow.

My grandson, a 4th year maths masters student who also plays sports and is applying for internships, has found ChatGPT useful for prioritizing. (Assignments, projects, dissertation, going for a run, attend tennis practice, application for internships, go shopping and cook or eat muesli bars - 24 hours in a day are never enough to do all of it.)

Alrighty, I've done a brain dump and ran it thru chatGPT.
Now, I'll sanitize it so I don't self-promote and make a blog post of how to do what I just did. LOL

Les

Excellent. I was going to say I'll look out for it. But it's up already.

Your tips about using tools like Trello and staying flexible are really helpful. It’s great to remember that small wins matter and can add up over time.

Hi Boris,

Thank you so much for your kind words and thoughtful feedback! I’m really glad you found the templates helpful and accessible for both beginners and experienced marketers.

It’s great to hear that you appreciate the balance of simplicity in the Basic Template and the depth of the Advanced Template. Including self-care and reflection was important to me because staying organized is just as much about maintaining balance as it is about productivity.

I’m excited that you’re planning to try out the templates—please feel free to let me know how they work for you or if there’s anything you’d tweak to make them even better!

Wishing you continued success and growth,
Les

You’re on point and if you don’t have list of task you can go through the day without doing what you should be doing.

and, wonder why we didn't get anything done that day.

So true!! 😇

I forgot, how do we get the emoji's to show up?

I’m using an iPhone and it’s on the left below the number 123. If you’re on desktop, right click on the mouse and you should see emoji at the top or somewhere.

Click it and add as you chose.

😎 Thanks!

I see you found your emoji!

👍 Thanks. I also wanted to know - and now I found out by chance. 😊
