My Journey to date at WA
Greetings all at WA
This marks my first blog at WA and am very excited to share my progress hither to.
Its been just under 2 months I joined WA and I must say that this is a platform like no other. Even though I have been trawling on the Internet for over a year now, I had never come across such a fantastic platform and now I feel at home.
I apologise I am not going to really perfect this introductory post as I am typing as ideas come in my mind.
A little bit about myself; I hail from Kenya, and I have a 9-5 job as the Admin in an agricultural farm. I am a horticulturist by profession FYI (My second website will point in this niche as I have imense knowledge about the field)
Thus far, I have built one website on my own domain. Check it out here: www.makemoneyonlineinkenya.com I have published 7 posts and have got 3 more that I am putting finishing touches on with the view to publish before this year ends.
Please critic my site above and lemmi know where I can improve as there is always room for improvement. I am looking to improve graphics on my website to make it more appealing to my visitors, as well as do at least 20 posts in total within 3 months from now.
My website has been indexed in google, as well as 2 of my posts.
Even though I have not made a dime from the site thus far, I have a good feeling that I have achieved alot hither to considering my busy schedule at my 9-5.
I also hope to moneytise the site soon, within the next 3 months and I cant wait to cash in from the site.
I give myself a target to be able to replace my day job income from 6-12 months, and hopefully be able to leave my 9-5 in a years time.
I do hope to achieve this and I will take action towards attaining these goals.
In a few words that is pretty much it. I will keep doing other blog posts in here to assist newbies as I was assisted imensely when I first joined.

I've had a look at your website. I wasn't expecting it to be of the high standard that it is. Very professional looking and it has a trustworthy look about it, which is very important for this niche. I like the theme you are using, which one is it, if you don't mind me asking?
I am sure it won't be long before you are earning commissions from this.
The only criticism I have is that adding "inkenya" to the end of the domain name may lead some people to think at first glance that you can only make money online if you are living in Kenya and you may lose some of the potential worldwide audience. I hope I am wrong.
Your first blog on WA is really good, too.

Your critic well noted. I will think about getting a new domain then, will deliberate. I also realised this but had already bought the domain, and so to mitigate, I am doing posts that cover the whole world with the view to grab as much traffic as possible. On the contra side, I will ensure to grab 90% of the traffic from Kenya searching online for money making ways as there is no similar site in my country, that was my point of view when I first thought of the chosen domain name, I do hope am not that wrong, you tell me pls, you obviously have got more experience and insight.

Thanks for your thoughts. I may have more experience than you but you have had much more success at this than I have, so don’t take my views as necessarily the right ones.
Having read your reply, I would go on and try to make a killing in the Kenya market, as you say you want to do and you are very likely to do, due to your professional website and lack of competition. Once you are successful with that, then go on to conquer the rest of the world!

Hello Steve, I have had a lot of thinking about what you told me re. the domain name.
So I have bought another domain and just moved my website to www.earnmoney-online.com
Dont want to limit my reach at all. I can still target the Kenya market by creating contect targeted to Kenya alone, and can also include the rest of the world.
Just thought I should give you this update as you are the one who opened my eyes,

I think you have probably made the right move.
If you are targeting a keyword that gets, for example, 30 hits per month, the chances are that at the most only 1 search comes from Kenya, probably 0. If, however, your keyword contains the word "Kenya", then this figure will be nearer 30 out of 30. This fits in with your plan, certainly.
I hope that now you have decided to act on something I have said that you go on to have great success.
