Stock Photo Sites

While researching stock photo sites to contribute to I ended up with a decent list of sites and their pricing. I wanted to contribute to a site that provided stock photos at a decent price rate while paying the contributor a respectable commission. Here are the sites that I am part of with their pricing:

Shutterstock and Adobe stock are in the same price range if you go for a yearly commitment with monthly payments. Their plans range from

10 images per month for $29.99

40 images per month for $79.99

750 images per month for $199

Differences between the two: Adobe gives you the first month free while Shuttersock offers regular "Free Image" options.

DepositPhotos has a more flexible plan where you can get 30 photos a month for $30 as well as free image options. The selection is a bit narrower but definitely some gems in there!

Dreamstime is the best for someone who wants a bunch of images sporadically. They are the only site that allows you to buy "credits" (1 per regular image) and you can buy as many credits as you want and use them whenever you want. The best part about Dreamstime: They have an affiliate program for people like us!!

I suggest checking out all the sites before making a commitment to any of them. They all feature great stock images! And there are a great many free stock photos out there to get people started but I beleive in internet Karma so if I can purchase someone's product (eg: stock photos) then karma will send more affiliate sale clicks my way!

Hope this helps everyone!

Ah! I've been waiting for this. Thanks for letting me know you were going to write this.

Jay sure is an awesome guy isn't he? He's been doing the Live Training Classes since 2010. I watched the first one when it came out. It was, and still is a very integral part of the platform!

That was a big addition to the platform! So much has happened on here since. I only wish they had never taken down the Forum. That's what today's platform replaced.

When I am able to, purchasing my images will be a regular fixture in my business. Right now, I have to rely on the free stock ones. By this time for me, shouldn't be like this, but it is what it is.

I also make mine own images if there is something I can use in my environment, and I create some of them from scratch.

If you take or make your own images then you already have one of those "your-own-product" that they talk about! In fact that is why I researched those sites in the first place. You can upload your photos and if someone buys the rights you get a commission. And on your site just mention at the bottom or in your own ad, "like this photo? buy here"

Fineartamerica.com and Zazzle will allow you to create products like prints, Pillows, and Coffee mugs out of your photos that you can also sell and make a commission on.

The funny part is that I started this out as using my photos to bring in traffic to buy from my affiliate programs and through that found out that I already have my own product!!
