When will I Make Money?
Good morning WA from a very sunny seaside town in New Zealand
This morning I just want to share a wee rant especially if you are new to the online world or, in fact learning how to become your own boss.
Whenever anyone starts their own business there are a few things to consider and I have seen a lot of questions asked by new members saying"When will I make Money"
"How will I make Money?"
" How long does it take to make Money?"
All these questions are valid for sure, however there are a few things to consider when you join a platform to become your own Boss and make money
Bricks and Mortar
Every single business that is started whether it is offline or online takes money and time to build Yes?
OK, and Wealthy Affiliate is the best platform to give anyone this awesome opportunity and I have to say this.
I have created 4 businesses offline during my 60 years and all of them have cost me a lot of money.
My singing career - Promotional material, recordings, clothing, Musical equipment. On the road cost and more. Yes I made money but it took time to make really great money and become well-known.
Online business ownership
It is exactly the same here in WA
you are learning through the training how to create and build your very own online business, Business being the key word here and growing a business that earns money takes time and money before you see a return f from your investment.
Paying $49 is nothing- It is such a small amount for what we receive here in Wealthy Affiliate as the training alone is worth $1000's of dollars and is given to us as a member.

Time
Remember everything great takes time so if you are prepared to work hard, stay focused and determined to build a really solid business, you can be very successful but asking the minute you join Wealthy Affiliate- the "When will I make money" question is probably better left as you will learn and build and grow as you move through all the training step by step.
Then and only then will you see income and this income will grow as you grow your online business
Business growth= success= money
Go for it and let your WHY be your motivator

Excellent post Vicki and so true. I do get this question quite a bit, of course form folks that are typically very new to creating a business.
Most people treat a business unlike a business, rather a "get rich quick" opportunity. There are forces and marketing out there teaching people that it can happen, and fast...without effort.
The reality is that ANYONE can be very successful online, they just have to be realistic about the time it takes and the process itself.

Unfortunately, there are forces out there and thank goodness for all of us who arrived here
I just hope all the newbies read this blog to reassure them of what it takes and not to think of the money so quickly but focus on the learning and all the steps to get to each goal as they move forward.
Wealthy Affiliate is a place that truly allows people to learn so many awesome skills and hopefully, every new member will realise this is what it takes

Such a valid point Vicki. Thankyou for sharing, I totally agree Even in an ordinary job, you are required to work the first week ortwo before you are paid. If we view the online world as our virtual shop/business we still need to fill it with product or provide a service that we can build on before we see the results. Love the quote as well!

We do agree with you. We have had offline businesses that cost a lot to set up. Some succeeded, others not. The value we get and the cost for setting up a business here at WA is nothing compared to bricks and mortar!
Patience and perseverance are required. As in any business.

I see a lot of newbies wanting to know when will they make money and I feel it is a sign of desperate times for some and others who are hoping to make money really quickly so felt it important to give them something to think about :)
