Asking for Some Advice
I believe I have come a long way with my site posting quality content, keeping up with visitors comments and getting ranked in Google. I am now learning to interact on social media (better late than never).
Ultimately, I would like to work in private counselling for caregivers. However, I do not have a formal designation like a degree in psychology, social work, nursing etc. What I do have is a wealth of practical experience, a calming spirit, a therapeutic voice, and, I am a very good caregiver that wish to share the good, the bad and the ugly in my niche.
I wish to bring practical awareness of the huge undertaking to caregivers and care receivers in their journey. The responsibilities of a caregiver must not be minimized, the caregiver must be aware, be prepared and learn how to cope..
My question is: Where and how do I begin? How would I go about getting myself out there? I am reaching out for your guidance to proceed accordingly.
Progress on my book is going well. I hope to have self published within 4-6 months.
My strongest skills are: listening, speaking, writing, communicating. Your input would be greatly appreciated.

Great niche Vena. I agree that writing posts from your perspective is a great start and joining groups in that field is also a very good idea. I think over time, your audience feedback and comments will steer your path.
Do you remember "Dear Abbey" she was extremely popular and possibly the original 'agony aunt'. A Q & A page could work in with your niche.
I can imagine you might want to develop and offer specialised training for carers. You might want to get some certified training for yourself to back up your experience.
A way to offer qualified advice on your website (before you get qualified officially) is to offer a service like 'Just Ask'. They have a range of professionals (lawyers, vets, doctors, antique appraisers etc) who answer questions online for a fee. You can affiliate with them, get a banner link within your site and get 50% commission!
Last year my aging parents considered moving house after being in the family home for over 50 years. You know what I mean.
I googled something like 'help my elderly parents move house'....the articles on that were unbelievably respectful, helpful and insightful. It gave me a chance to be a strong support for them and to help understand what they were gong through emotionally, not just the practicalities.
All of us web savvy baby boomers with aging parents are a niche who need help and advice.
Go really well from Janelle
Thanks so much for this great, creative advice. I am seeing endless possibilities in this niche and I'm loving it.
You're in the right place. I suggest video bloggng. Start a YouTube Channel, do your keyword research, and made posts.

Your experience blended with concepts gleaned from psychological counseling and general caregiving websites and information should craft an unbeatable profile.
Many thanks for your advice. I love it!
