My first week in the wa program
I started this whole thing as I'm sure 99% of the rest of you did... I need to make money now! The WA program is a lot more involved and intense than I ever thought possible.
Through the time and effort I've put in so far, the one thing I've learned is that this isn't a quick process. It's definitely going to take time and work.
I guess if it was too easy, everybody would be doing it. I'm not usually gung ho when offered a get-rich-quick scheme, which I didn't believe this was but I was still hesitant in the beginning. This program is either the most thorough scam I've ever seen or they legitimately want to help people that want to help themselves.
I decided to go with the one niche I know, bars, and all things bars. I've had some fun writing my blogs and putting the pictures up. Though the one thing I just don't get is that I've put together this whole site and am offering 0 things to sell. I'm being patient and just moving along with the training. It's discouraging though. Maybe if I knew how to take something, anything and throw it on there and I understand that it won't make money until I get google ranked and all of that but just something besides blogs on my site would give me that glimmer of hope.
I have really enjoyed the program and the help from everyone, it's been great. I've completely immersed myself into this thing and will not give up until I succeed, that's just not in my nature
I'm very happy with the progress I've made with building my website. I've learned quite a bit and it feels good to pull it up and know that, that's my site. It's a very accomplished feeling.

Welcome to Wealthy Affiliate! I think the sooner new members lose the “get rich quick” mindset the sooner they will actually succeed.

OK, it's just your first week. And it sounds like you've already made great progress!
I've been reviewing these "make money fast" programs, and let me tell you - they are NOT worth it. If you went to those instead of Wealthy Affiliate, not only would you not make money, but you'd be minus $37. (They're almost all $37.)
You're doing the right thing. It's going to take time though. If you need money NOW, it's best to do this on the side with another job that brings in a steady paycheck. You can get there, for sure. But it's not fast.
Don't be discouraged though. I feel like you're already far ahead where many people are when they first start.

You are writing to get in good with Google so that you can rank so that people can see your site so that you can make money. It's a process!
