Clarity and Urgency
Clarity-clearness or lucidity as to perception or understanding;freedom from indistinctness or ambiguity.
Urgency - urgent character; imperativeness; insistence; importunateness.
Is it possible to have both in any endeavor?
This is my initial blog on WA and I hope it resonates here with many new members and seasoned affiliates alike.
I'm really not sure how I came about investigating the blogging/affiliate marketing communities about 2 weeks ago. Honestly, I can't remember the moment I said to myself "hey this looks interesting". I do know it wasn't driven by necessity. I lead a modest life while earning a comfortable income as a compliance and validation consultant in the bio-medical/pharmaceutical industry. I have a loving wife who is also a professional in the insurance industry. We have four healthy and happy children ages 22, 20, 18 and 15. My life thus far has been truly blessed.
I said all that to say this. Since embarking on the journey that lead me to becoming a Premium Member of WA, I realized something that I had never contemplated before. I realized that I have a lot to say and, speaking for myself, not much time to say it. I guess none of us have as much time as we did yesterday, and tomorrow is not guaranteed, I'm not getting any younger and time is of the essence. I for some reason have a sense of "urgency" about my place as a blogger, yet I don't have "clarity" have no idea what I am passionate enough about to really spend hours upon hours researching to really become an authority on any one subject. The things I know the most about don't lend themselves to online success; what ever that may be. It's kind of like one of those dreams where your mind is telling you to flee from trouble but your legs won't move fast enough to carry you to safety.
My hope is that the "urgency" and "clarity" of thought will soon converge and my reason for being here becomes as real to me as the thought I have presented to you tonight!
I believe this community is the place I need to be in order for that convergence to take place and I am grateful to be a part of it!

Great first blog, Brian. I wasn't looking for anything like this specifically either, although I was investigating part-time, work-from-home options. I actually found two or three websites talking about affiliate marketing opportunities but WA was the only one ranked highly in all three (of course, I understand why that is now). When I found out what it was, I had no idea where I would go with it either. But ... I love it. Glad you are here to get started.
