Online Income can often come quicker than you expected
It's been a while since I blogged on WA, so I think this is long overdue. I like the idea of posting stuff that could encourage or motivate so I thought I'd share this particular experience. It happened last year but it's relevant.
So I signed up for this particular affiliate program and I wrote a review on one of the products. I didn’t consider the article my best work but turns out that when I checked Google Analytics, the article was doing surprisingly well. I haven’t checked Google Analytics lately to see how the article is doing at the moment, hence the reason I am using the word was.
While the article was written towards the very end of September (2017), I did not do any keyword research before writing it. I just wrote it without even thinking about the competition. I did not share the article on social media or anywhere and it has just about eight (8) comments on it. No paid advertising or anything.
So it was absolutely a surprise logging into this particular affiliate account and seeing the sales happen that quickly. I was not expecting that at all. One sale came in November and the other sometime in December.
Despite not having done any research for the keyword, I have two different articles that are currently ranking for this same keyword.
Now this does not mean that you don’t need to do your keyword research before you write your articles. My experience may not necessarily be yours and vice versa.
For me, there are times when writing an article is not always about keywords. Sometimes I just write when I get a particular idea. Sometimes your gut instinct just might pay off but it may also depend on the niche that you are in.
Even so, my experience shows that sometimes online income can come quicker than you expected. So be encouraged and keep keeping on…

Hello Vanessa, gut instinct! I like it. A lot of decisions I made in my business are driven by intuition. I work for a company as the head of marketing in Japan. Although we have structure, OKRs, KPIs, review meetings, planning meetings, and on and on, at the end of the day the noticeable impact is driven by members in my team that come up with inspired ideas. That includes me. I am a member of my team as well. Gut instinct. Very effective. Rupert.
