Getting Cancelled
As every company seems to downsize, layoff... etc, my work in a surgical center the hours are not always as promised. You cannot know how many surgeries the MDs are gonna do in a given day. Sure there are averages, but now that it's spring... things are slowing down and regularly scheduled nurses are being cancelled.
I plan to work in the emergency department tomorrow, not for 'extra' hours; but to make up for what I'm not getting in my 'regular' job. Now more than ever THIS opportunity truly makes sense. Perhaps I should forget working in other departments and just spend those extra days or time off online, learning how to profit.
So, come Friday, when the docs may not have as many cases scheduled as usual... I'll be here when I get sent home early. It's kind of like thinking like the old commercial... "Wow!, I could have had a V8!" Wow! I could have been online learning and marketing and actually earning money! Okay... I'm getting it. :)

Golly that just stinks. I know a few nurses and they are all in the same boat. It's a shame, but what are you going to do. Just think though - you're a leg up on everyone because you're trying to make freedom! That's the beautiful thing about the WA. Maybe you can even get a few of your co-workers to jump aboard!
I listen to all of my friends here at WA and see that we are all looking for stability and a better life. If things were soft and easy, we wouldn't have the extra push to go out and create something for ourselves and our families. So, could it be something is doing us a favor?
Life can be pretty tough to deal with and making the right choices isn't always easy. I know a lot of people are going through very tough times here, I guess we all struggle as we want the best for ourselves and our family. Good luck! success may not be that far.
