Looking to the right, I can see that I've only posted one of these little blogs 3 times, so obviously I don't spend a lot of time being rankled over rankings. I wrote this last one about rankings to say, if one person had something to do with the stars realigning themselves,kudos, congratulations, we are one again. The other reason, was because I couldn't think of anything else to write about.

I believe it is an indicator of how busy you are in the community and has nothing to do with the success of your blog. The help you get is nice and the help you give others is too. I find that my rank does not make me money and can be a distraction from working on my blogs. I am in the 150's now and it is slow moving. I agree with Prestones.

You'll find that site ranking moves like a caterpillar Broderick.

Even on the page shown when you click the "Rank" button, the bar graphs shown at the top, the rank shown on that page, and your rank shown on the "Rank" button may be out of sync. Situation: normal!

Don't fixate on your site rank though - that's a sure way to fail. Participate in the community, and your rank will reflect that participation.

Your focus should be on the amount of traffic coming to your site - and on how well it's converting to income! Leave your "Site Health" and "Site Rank" to tend to themselves. They won't pay the bills ;)
