Great Websites

Do you ever wonder how some people have it all together. Their website looks amazing, content is great, pics look so personal and they have traffic.

Me too!

I know that those people have been around for a long time or have worked in graphic design.

Inspite of all this the only king/queen is content. The only way to get good at something is to do it a lot and I mean a lot. Just dabbling here and there will always be half-hearted.

I have written over 300 posts here and as a result my writing has improved out of bounds. I can have conversational blogs which get interaction. My blogs are mainly tongue in cheek. I like to make people laugh.

But, you know, it wasn't always like that.

Today I woke up and thought, I must write a post for procrastinators. I'm one!

I sit at my computer and think, what should I write about? I know, procrastinators.

Then I come to the realisation that I haven't had a cup of coffee or my morning toast and then there's a mess I have to clean up, oh, and what about the friends I need to call.

The excuses I can make for not doing something is endless. I will feel better when I've done all those other things. My mind will be clear and I will write a better blog. HAH!!

That's a joke, those tasks are there every day and completing them doesn't get me any closer to writing a post.

What to do?

Just write and write and write and write. It's the only way. No point in having a website if you only work on it once in a while.

So...if you have a hard time writing, I created a tutorial just for you;

How To Write Great Content

Yep, it might be just what you need to get you inspired or re-inspired.

There are many ways to write and I cover some of them in this training.

So get out there and get it done.

Thanks Michael,

I liked this post! And a very belated happy birthday to you!

You know, I'm a fellow procrastinator!

My mother first told me I was a procrastinator when I was 11, and it kinda made me feel special. I was apparently the only procrastinator in my family. No-one else at school even knew the word, so I had to explain it to them.

Everything I do revolves around procrastination.

Sometimes I'm procrastinating from doing the housework (or other stuff I 'should' be doing like eating or drinking) by writing!

Nevertheless, I'm off to check out your training now... which is probably me procrastinating from writing!

Great to meet you,

Jacquie

OK BOSS

Thanks for this blog and I am off to check out your tutorial for writing great content friend.

You are so right, these jobs will always be there day in and day out. We are all guilty of making excuses for ourselves and talking ourselves out of doing things.

I know as I do it all the time. I need a kick up the rear end to get me back into order lol.

I am off to read your other blogs too. Feel free to go and read mine if you have time lol.

Well I will catch up with you soon. xxxx

I will read your blogs. I've still been a bit flat out with working. Take care my friend, Cheryl.

Hi Michael, happy birthday for the other day; one of the total classics is that time is just too busy getting on with its life.

No time to wait on anyone.

So we either catch its coat tails on the way through or we run the risk of getting left behind.

If it's writing, then it's writing it should be.

Have an enjoyable Easter.

Thanks, Alexander. Nice to see an old pal.

Procrastination, inertia, fear, worthlessness, lethargy, overwhelm........just some of the imposters that help destroy peoples' hopes and dreams but need destroying themselves.
That Nike motto writer was on the money right enough.
Good post Michael.
Mark

Thanks, Mark. I hope you’ve risen above all those.

Sometimes it's easier than at others Michael but we'll never achieve much if we don't.
Cheers
Mark

Procrastination is a thief of time, better to get rid of it.

Or use it to our advantage, like writing while watching TV. :)

Great!
