This one is quite ingenious and will make you think. Don't fall for it !

Then I thought I would take a sticky beak

...and another sticky beak

Next to the click here is a drop down menu which shows google's response.

DO NOT CLICK ON 'CLICK HERE' EVER!

I have not taken this one further. Generally I do send these to the people who deal with hoax/malicious emails, but I get so many I have better things to do but I can warn you.

Here is a post on how you find out where they come from if you are interested.

Nice work seeing this one. thanks, buddy.

1

Keeping us informed, Mike. thanks.

1

Those crooks are getting more and more cunning, thanks for the warning Michael

1

They are, Loes, no sooner have we worked out one scam there's another on the horizon.

1

It seems like they do sometimes have success

1

Thanks for the heads up.

1

I want to keep us safe, John.

1

Good looking out my friend. Don't open any emails from Nigerian princes either.

1

Awww! But they always want to give me millions of dollars. They never seem to remember my name, address and credit card details so I have to send it to them every time. These princes seem to be very forgetful.

1

Oh no....Maybe we should offer them some ginkgo biloba for their memory disorders. Poor little guys!

1

What a great idea, this is a job for the pigeons, they'll be so happy.

1

Yes, the pigeons do need some exercise. Plus they get rather daggy if you leave them cooped up for too long :)

1

Your new best word "daggy?" Lol !

1

LOL! I am a bit like a puppy in a room full of squirrels. Give me five minutes and I'm sure to find something new and more interesting.

1

Thanks Michael :)

1

You can never be too careful online, Chrissie, thanks!

1

Too right Michael :)

1

Thanks Michael. When in doubt, leave out.

1

Absolutely, Stephen. The thing is it depends on what you have done on the web (like renewing a payment) then somehow they manage to hack into your message and send one immediately proclaiming to be from the same site and if you are a bit tired that's when the mistake happens not when you are sharp and alert. Luckily you can get money refunded if it's a fraudulent transaction.

I get hundreds of spam messages in my Microsoft Outlook email.
I don't get any spam in Gmail.
Having been 'educated' years ago not to use Gmail for business, I have recently relented, and enjoy the freedom!

1

I don't use outlook only Gmail, Yahoo and my own personal website email. Most scams I get are at work. Personal ones are usually through the marketing companies when you have done reviews and the hackers get your email from there.

1

True Michael. They send me receipts and all sorts of stuff. I delete them immediately. They are are nuisance.

1

They are a nuisance, Valerie. The nice thing about WA is we look out for each other.

2

Yes, we do Michael. And that is very nice :)

1

Since I went from outlook to Gmail I shed a million spam fleas.

2

Most email scams I deal with are from work. This one came through my personal email, which hardly happens but they take on a more personal touch by knowing my name and address. They usually get that if you belong to any marketing groups

1

Thank you for the info, Michael!
Mike

1

My pleasure, Mike, we need to keep each other safe.

1

Absolutely!

1

Many thanks for the heads up, Michael.
It doesn't surprise me at all, always more around the corner.
So sad and despicable.
Many thanks, cheers, Tosh :)

1

It is sad, Tosh, but we have to keep our eyes peeled.

Thanks for the warning Michael. I generally go through and delete anything that's not from wealthy affiliate. Lol

1

So you have no friends? Or you have friends that don't know how to email? They still write you letters long hand? LOL !

1

Texting took over. And I have no friends...lol.

1

What would we do without texting? Stop being so modest, you probably have friends popping out of the woodwork.

1

Sorry but those termites aren't my friends.

1

ROFL!
