Whoohoo! Page one and position six on Google!

I started a new website about 4 weeks ago called Beginning Online Business (BOB for short. :) :) :) ). Yep, that's my trial logo I've created. I'm not sure it will be the end product as I still have to add my business name and tagline.

It only has 8 posts and my post about Algorithms has hit the jackpot. Whoohoo.

I created that post for people who don't really understand algorithms and how they work in search engines. I used to program computers in the 80's (yes, I'm ancient) and it seems to have struck a chord with the everyday person who is having a hard time wondering how to get their posts ranked.

I think it worked because I do understand what it's like to be a beginner. It sucks being a beginner and there is so much to learn.

All those gurus out there that say they have a course to get you there quicker are talking through their hats. They don't tell you it took them 3-5-7 years to get there, just how hard they worked the last three months. Think about it, any job that requires a skillset takes time.

What with Wordpress, Themes, Plugins, Keywords, Tags, Taglines etc. How on earth is the beginner supposed to understand all these things and then write good content?

It's a minefield out there.

But, stick with it, the more you work, the better it gets. Unfortunately there is no quick way. You need time, authority (what does that even mean? LOL!!!) relevance etc, etc...

You're all very lucky here in that Kyle and Carson has provided an excellent framework.

If you are making a business out of this, focus is what you need. Stick with the training, don't make this a hobby, this is your job. Treat it like a job but have fun with it as well otherwise you'll quit before you know it and say it's too hard.

I truly hope that you make it, we have a great community here, use it.

If you're right at the beginning, the only way is up.
