*What are the 3 most essential, key ingredients of a world class website?*
Someone had kindly asked me this question, and it is a very hard question to answer. After a few minutes I had this very short list...
1. Load fast. Everything should be optimized for this (and speed forces a lot of hands, often in a good way).
2. Have a huge overlap between customer intent and page purpose. (Casa.com does this pretty well.)
3. Create a sense of very subtle urgency. (Booking.com does this masterfully.)
Bonus: 4. You don't have to be pretty. I love white space, I love less pimping, I love less text. But in the end none of that maters if you do the above three things well. Here's a site I would hate: lingscars.com It is a super high converting website. They stand out, they create a sense of urgency, and they load fast. :)
