Sometimes You Just Have To Laugh

Sometimes you just have to laugh. That's right, it's been one of those mornings. I am sharing so that we can all learn together the value of the phrase 'These things are sent to test us" Well, I think I have been well and truly 'tested' this morning and have passed my exam with flying colours.

The day started as it always does, at 5.30am. I wake up full of joy knowing that the day ahead holds promise. Really I do. I love the mornings, they are quiet and I can get on with 'stuff' uninterrupted. Striding into the day with gay abandon.

I had my 'list' firmly imprinted in my mind. Ironing done. First job was to sort out 'change of

ownership' on a car I sold yesterday (that was a story unto itself) Online is the fastest method. Put glasses on, lense falls out. Reason, the securing screw has fallen out, not a chance of finding it, could be anywhere. 'MacGyver' glasses, carry on. Then find that the document I need to input the details from is not where it should be. Half an hour of searching I gave up, I would wait for my son to rise and ask him, as he dealt with the sale as I was out (that's only the half of it) Turns out he had given 'all' the paperwork to the new owners by mistake, my mistake, I should have been more clear. A hassle but not the end of the world. Snail mail will have to do.

Time for breakfast. I'm not a lunchtime eater, so I make up for that by having a 'large' bowl of cereal. Went to the fridge, pulled out the last carton of 'soya' milk only to find that someone had put an empty carton back in the fridge.

Moving on. Today is 'packing' day. 120 catalogues need putting in bags with info slips and order forms. Ran out of info slips before books. All is good, even though the wife isn't here I can use her computer and find the 'slips' and print some more off. I printed 10 copies off only to find that nine of them had no dates as the ink had run out (no warning, thanks) Changed 'Magenta' ink cartridge. Error-damaged cartridge. Removed and replaced cartridge along with another that had come out in sympathy. Align printer and clean print heads and we're back in business. Yay. Printed, guillotined and done.

Wife returns, packing ensues, one box missing, really ? Half a dozen open packages awaiting items that will arrive tomorrow.

Anyway, what could be packed has been and we won't be delivering until Saturday so I have two clear days ahead to concentrate on web things. Today is still going to be a good day.

Cumulative three day total is now 4037 so we're on track.

So, how's your day going ?

Be well.

It's good to be able to laugh at days like that. We all have them. It doesn't do us any favors to let things get to us and obviously when things aren't going as they should we may need to slow down and take a break because we are getting too many things on our plate. I myself might have to turn on the music and dance a little dance, drink some tea or regroup for a bit :)

The afternoon continued where the morning left off but without the 'carry on' The nights not over yet though.

lol

Sounds like an interesting morning indeed, you have dealt with it with grace =)

Thank you Yasmin, with 'aplomb' as they say.

Now, that's a day for sure. I'm glad you survived all of that!

Cal

There are more of them than I think I deserve, sometimes, just not sure who to complain to, so you have to make the best of it.

Whoah! Wow! What a test!

I know, soon as the lense fell out I knew it was game on.

Oh dear. Try to relax...:)

yh

Thanks for stopping by Xavi. Be well.

What an extraordinary day! Thank you for sharing.
Joseph

You're welcome Joseph. We like extraordinary.

TwAcks Keystone Cops...

It couldn't have been scripted better for 'Mr.Bean'

LOL... The Turkey!

Wow, you both sound busy but it sounds like you are working well together. More power to ya.

Glad you were able to get past the hassles of the day :)
Since you did not let the upsets get you down, you were able to accomplish the goals you set in place.

I have yet to accomplish much. Just got through my breakfast and tea time. Lots more to get done :)

Thanks for sharing, this was oddly refreshing and motivating.

"refreshing and motivating." I'll take that Amelita. Hope you managed to get your stuff done.

Prof Twack,

Thanks for the share, I can somewhat say that since January I have been under a similar trajectory with recurring and redundant bad luck.

But by the grace of God and family we have withstood it all to tell the story and to roll over some other day. It seems that the tide has started to turn in our favor, almost on cue at the start of June.

As far as today goes, made it to the office in a deluge with flooded roads and praying the car will not stall.

Still here to respond to you and to comiseate.

Praise be to God.

Blessings!

I'm so glad you made it Gabriel.

Yes Prof, thank you.

Reporting for duty, Sir!

Blessings!

Oh yes, we’ve all had those days and even a succession of those days! You’re right, sometimes you just have to laugh and wonder at the universe’s sense of humor. 😆 glad you are keeping your sense of humor though!

Plenty in reserve June, ready for next time.
