So, It's Official, This Is My 500th Post.
I couldn't put it off any longer, although it was tempting to just leave it hanging for a while, just for the lol's. So, it's official, this is my 500th post.
I think it's taken about eighteen months to reach this point and it has been an absolute pleasure. I wouldn't have written nearly as many posts were it not for you, dear community.
Without your unending support (and patience) then I wouldn't have had the wherewithal to keep on writing, no siree Bob, I surely wouldn't.
For those who are reading this now and thinking "What's the point" allow me to give you something to put in your pipe and smoke. Actually, I believe the phrase would be best served afterwards but I shall use an alternative when I reach that juncture.
Prior to coming to WA, which was back in January 2019, I had nothing in the way of 'content'. You could search the internet far and wide and find nothing more than a few fumbled words on Blogger and a page or two on a poorly made Wix site.
If you were lucky and the wind was behind your sails, then you may have found my small piece on internet real estate, loitering with no intent somewhere in the nether regions of a Google search.
Now, a year and a half down the online line, so to speak, things are decidedly different. A quick search of the least likely name to bequeath a man, reveals him to be hogging all of the spots on page one of the Googlemeister.
Is this a cleverly staged, strategic hack to undermine the enigmatic algorithmic genius of the ether web search masters ? No, of course it isn't
It is, however, down to nothing more than posting regularly here, at WA and possibly assisted by a long and drawn out relationship with Site Comments. "How can this be ?" I hear you ask, my you are full of questions today.
Well , the short version is that it's down to the authoritative power of WA. I refer you to 'Level 4 Lesson 7- Mastering Social Engagement' within the OEC, which you can refresh your memory with, at your leisure. To save you the bother I will add the relevant passage below.
There it is in black and white, who can argue with that ? It dawned on me fairly early on that by creating content here, consistently, as I think that probably helps, was a way of creating an online presence, at the very least. (It isn't the be-all and end-all)
It also occurred that it doesn't hurt when your name (or brand) is in the URL of every piece of work you publish along with being in the content itself. So, as Mickey Mouse said "Put that in your smoke and pipe it" (which did make me laugh when I heard it first)
'And now for something completely different'. I have had another referral (not the same one that I mentioned twice a week or so ago) which is always worth a 'shout out'.
There are a few other things but I shall have to leave it there for the time being. Let me finish by reiterating my earlier words and saying that were it not for you, I wouldn't have reached this point, period, so I thank you again for your ongoing support.

Good Morning Twack,
500 Posts, right? Amazing, that is more than double I have on my 2 websites combined in half the time.
I could not help myself but had to Google Twack.
I am surprised; it has to do with ducks and beer, have a look at the screenshot.
Now jokes aside, you have done an amazing job, you can be proud. By the way, I hope you do not mind me asking, coming to the party, can I have a red wine instead of a beer? Thank you.
Greetings from the south of Spain,

You'd think by now they'd have changed the definition or at least added to it, oh well, I'll just have to keep trying.
Thank you so much for your kind words and I'm sure there's an 'un-corked' bottle of red somewhere round here.
Wonderful work Twack! Now I really wanted to join your party but for some mysterious reasons I could not get a voucher. I guess that I am either a late comer or your click here button is broken. LOL
So sorry I could not make it but I'm sure you are having a blast.
Carol
Psst! Cool invite!
Thank you, thank you, thank you Carol. You get three, due to your comment being epicly awesome.
Maybe there's glitch that's causing the button to malfunction, I 'll have to get my people to talk to Canva's people, really isn't good enough.
*** Epic! ... 500 posts! ... Congratulations, Twack! ...

As we have spoken about before, I am smiling, broadly, as I write my reply.
Thank you so very much. We have to work within the parameters that life sets and sometimes that makes it difficult to be consistent when it comes to the frequency of our posts.
Yours are always an inspiration.
... sending you blessings for the very best of everything this wonder life offers! ....
... stick around & keep smiling, i, too, am smiling & chuckling as i'm composing here ...
... all the very best to you & to your lovely wife .... 🌺🌹🌺 ...
*(by the way, thinking about our vision, have you heard of bilberry? ... it's great for our night vision, just like we need carrots for our day vision ... for our 'rods & cones' as it were) ... :)
🙏🙏😍 Likewise and with full reciprocity.
It's funny that only the other day I was having a little 'tête-à-tête' in regard to foods that can enhance our eyes, possibly after reading Michael's post on the subject.
I have not come across bilberry, I will investigate further, thank you once more.
Congrats on the new referral ... oh and that 500th post. Not too shabby at all!!
I've been saying for some time now that I need to up my content writing here within the community and for whatever reason, your post here has inspired me to do just that, so thanks!
Best, Shannon
Thank you Shannon, Without doubt, I shall certainly look forward to reading your content, your comments are a pleasure to read.
Writing here has helped me to improve my style and given me the confidence to 'put myself out there', as it were.

Thank you Cecelia, this is an epic comment, your words are very kind and have put a huge grin on my face.😊
There's always a thought or two hankering around in the background, when it comes to writing a book and there may be a few pages here and there that might developed into something, one day, not that I'm procrastinating you understand😉.
Anyway, thank you again, it's very much appreciated.
(P.S. As much as I am extraordinarily grateful for the digital 'shout-out', you might want to lose the link, just to keep everyone happy)😊
You are most welcome Twack. I’m glad that I had put a smile 😊 on your face. Thank you also for your kind words, much appreciated for sure. Have an awesome week! Psst I will keep everyone most jolly Cecelia 🌺.
