Encouraging others is easy and as contagious as a smile!

Surely you have noticed the natural human tendency to return a smile when you are smiled at. Or to be smiled back at when you share your smile with someone.

It's a great feeling to have and to share!

We really like to share pleasant experiences with each other. It makes each of us feel good, and provides some community experience. Studies have shown that "people who smile are thought to be more friendly and likeable."

Your smile not only makes others smile, it also does things like reduces stress and lowers your heart rate. Even if you fake a smile, it can trick your mind into improving your mood.

Share a Smile By Liking Others Posts!

One easy way we have to encourage others here is to like their post or comment, and I have found it can be just as contagious as a smile.

I have begun a personal challenge to like more posts or comments. In fact, I try to reward someone for liking my post or comment by liking 5 of theirs! I don't know if anyone really notices, but, it makes me feel good to do it, just like a smile.

We all like to think that our comments are thoughtful and encouraging to others. It is very rewarding to get a pleasant response, a smile, a like, or, a reply to our comments, posts or pages.

I feel that if someone directs a comment or post to me, the very least I can do is click "like." It takes less than a second, it costs nothing, and it will encourage the other person to continue to be involved and express themselves!
