Today I am frustrated with myself, Why?? I just had my website audited..Wow, The results are horrible, I receive feedback, make changes, lots of keyword research, and still Google only picks up 3 organic keywords from my whole website.. It frustrates me to know I am working so hard on my website, but it is not improving. I'm thinking to myself, Should I hire a professional to help me? I'm not giving up..I gave up before, but I refuse to give up this time. I've worked too hard (I believe) to give up. I just do not know where to turn. I wish I could get a decently priced one-on-one consultation. I want to know what is working on my site, and learn what is horribly going wrong keeping my site seem like its non existent...Sorry about the rant, but am I the only one that has had this problem? What did you do about it? Well thank you for reading my rant. Please share your stories if you'd like. Thank you.

Never give up. Investing a few hours, twice to three times weekly is all it takes- but you must stay the course for years. It's a slow build, but it adds up over time. You are on the right path- I didn't find WA until I had been blogging a year. Don't get discouraged. You have a great site and you are asking the right questions. Just keep going and don't get too frustrated with the painstakingly slow process of building an awesome site. Sites like Huffington Post employ hundreds of content curators... maybe some of us here at W.A. should team up and make a SUPER-SITE!

Now I'm thinking....oh boy!

Hi Trevor. Reviewed your website and saw a lot of impressive work.
You may be right to find/select a niche you are comfortable with. But also, as others have said, you may not have given it enough time yet?

Only other suggestion I have going forward or in future endeavors is to change the font on your blog title/links to be easier to read. The translucent blue color makes it difficult to read until you hover over with mouse. That may just be my settings. If so, I apologize for my mistake!

after doing the audit. my advice is stop beating yourself up. you are on the right track. I had the same issue before. Do more keyword research.

Like probably spend more time on that then writing the content. can you imagine. But still Once I started see how to use keywords in today's google it helped me alot.

Ask me any questions you have on keywords and I will help answer them for you,

Are you referring to your http://choosehowyouwork.com website listed on your profile?

If so, I believe you are being WAY to hard on yourself.

The site looks fantastic, your content is really good from what I can see.

The only problem is you only have 25 pieces of content indexed, HARDLY enough to see any solid rankings and traffic.

It also looks like the majority of your posts have come after the middle of November, which tells me that you site is probably not very old, perhaps a month or two at the most?

Correct me if I am wrong on that one though.

If that is the case though, you need to work on creating more content and give your website time to gain authority and develop some.

You cant expect lights out results with only 25 or so articles, it's a good start, but nobody promised quick results.

It doesn't look like you have anything at all horribly wrong with your site as you put it.

Keep publishing content, finding solid keywords with low competition, and following good SEO practices.

One positive thing about your site audit is that now you have a lot of ways to improve.

That's better than being in the dark and thinking everything is fine. You have the opportunity to take massive action and significantly improve things.

Hi Trevor, asking for help is the first step. Right, success is the target.

What I can recommend:
1. Connect and get to know some WA members who have various speciality and expertise. You can find this by going through their profiles, meet them in Live Chat. Ask them questions, post a question on their profile wall.

Areas of expertise to help you with:
A. Content: Copywriting/Effective sales copy/Conversion, etc. Learning how to write different types of articles: Pillar/EverGreen, Data, Review, List. Learn about the importance of Headlines and power sentences. If you don't have a good headline, most likely people will not read the article.

B. Technical: UX/Design/Technical/User Experience/Theme

C. Traffic: learning about organic traffic, guest blogging, other ways to get more visibility that does not have to be paid.

Also, take time to learn as much as possible: Influence, Persuasion, Connection, Empathy, Content Marketing, Social Marketing, learning to ask laser focus and good questions (your question determine the answers),

Also take advantage of the training beyond the Get Started Here and Affiliate Bootcamp. I search for tons of training on WA.
Some examples:

Hi Trevor,
At least you have a site to audit. I'm not sure when you started but I started in September I still can't seem to get a website completed. And I keep jumping around from thing to thing. At least you have produced something so that's much better than me.
Barbara

don't worry barbara. your idea will take shape. time is not important.

Its okay. this goal is a long term one. Slowly you will fix each and everything slowing you down. Where did you get the audit?

Zadro Web- which uses semrush
