I want to create a website open for members to share reviews, experiences, success stories, etc. of Wealthy Affiliate and provide a star rating based on the training, support a

Do members not share their reviews, experiences and success stories on this platform already? Not sure whether they would want to repeat it again on another one.

Yes, I know they do Kennick. As a member I've read many which has been a great motivation to keep going. But from a non-member perspective, you don't think it would be helpful to read reviews in one place and see an average rating of the site as opposed to deciding to sign up and then searching through the site for member experiences? When I was first learning about WA I spent a great deal of time reading through different blogs before deciding to sign up...but that's just me.

So you wouldn't want to write a brief review/sharing a star rating on a platform outside of WA? I don't see why someone wouldn't want to share their experience somewhere other than exclusively within WA or on their respective website. It's also a way to promote your site while helping potential members in their decision process.

Thanks very much for your feedback. I'm a bit torn now after some comments from members. Not quite the response I was hoping for. Will keep checking around to see if it makes sense or maybe just go for it....or not. Thanks again

I guess I see it as it being a platform to post a review or a success story in the hope of getting a visitor to go to your link or sign up page.
After all that's what the reviews are originally written for on each of the members own sites. I just feel that a site full of pretty much the same stuff could be pretty confusing for a visitor, giving them so many options for the same thing. Just my humble opinion Trevor..

I see what you're saying here. Appreciate it. But Just like any other product or service, I've found that people generally like to read reviews and love star or % ratings. I don't think it would be confusing as a potential member (or anyone who needs some motivation) to see how many members rate WA and read a short experience (good or bad, limited to a number of characters). I personally read reviews on products or services before purchase or signing up and love to hear other people's experiences.

Can you clarify something about this proposed site. You say that you'd like to get 100's or 1000's of reviews for WA from members and ieach review would contain a link to their profile. So my question is, how does any one of these members get to benefit from future resulting sign ups from the site. Would they not be allowed to use their affiliate link?

This is something I've been pondering. I want members leaving a positive review to benefit and I don't want everything to myself, let's be clear. But I have to take into account those who might leave a negative reviews or ex-members (highly doubt these will even exist) in which case it wouldn't make sense for them to provide an affiliate or profile link. You can't discount these reviews otherwise the site is biased. What do you think would be best?
Perhaps the member leaving the review can choose what info they want to display with their review:
-profile page (to promote your WA blog and any websites you've listed)
-landing page (so you get the referral)
-website to promote your website!)
-no link (but their email address, if linked with a gravatar account will generate their picture)

In this case I think everyone benefits. Thoughts?
Thanks for working with me here!

I like it but it seems slightly unnecessary. It's not like it costs anything to sign up and find out if it's something worth while. I see your idea and point in case, but I don't see much good coming from it other than the owner of the website soaking up the referrals with testimonials of other users.

Thanks for your thoughts. I really appreciate the feedback.
I'm targeting potential members in research mode. I'm quite confident that there will be between 90-100% positive reviews since WA is so incredibly valuable and there will be a collective green light to these potential members. I think it's a good business model and I certainly will benefit but so will these potential members as they're saving time. Also, those leaving a review will benefit by posting a link to their website and WA profile, just like you benefit from leaving a comment on someone else's blog.

I would agree with it all if this website wasn't already built like a community forum & also if it wasn't free to sign up and try it out. Otherwise, I believe everyone should be able to put their own reviews on their own website. That makes the most sense to me. I see your point though!

I think it would be helpful for people trying to decide if WA is legitimate. Check with Kyle or Carson to ne sure it is OK. Someone said it might go against the rules???? Not sure why when it is promoting WA.
Best wishes,
Eileen

Thanks Eileen!
I did check with Kyle. He said it was okay but didn't seem too sure it was a viable option as there are tons of review sites. But I have not come across any with user submitted reviews of WA. He also was concerned about giving audience control and there being inaccuracies but I assured him I'd be moderating and verifying that submissions were from real members. Also, each review would have a link to respective profile...
