Hey guys. This only happens when I try to add a caption to a photo that I upload on my blog. Whether I put the caption in the caption section or alt text box, whenever I do and ref

it was in the theme settings.. thanks!

You probably have a theme that detects and displays post thumbnails when a feature image is set.

Did you insert the image inside the post and then choose it as a featured image? In some themes this causes the image to appear twice, in different sizes.

You should not need to insert an image into your post if you are going to use it as a post thumbnail or if your theme automatically uses it as a thumbnail.

I apologize in advance that this is not a permanent fix suggestion, but have you tried deleting the big photo without the caption. Then expand (grab the little boxes at the corners) the little photo until it's the size you want.

Again I know that's not idea, but it may get you the desired end result until you find the permanent solution to this issue.
