There are some great web services out there, and the one I use is Amazon. Amazon isn't the only one, but I chose it because the cost in uploading files is extremely low! However, downloading is where they do make their money!
Cloud storage is a must, because if all else fails, you will still have your data!
I have not taken advantage of some of the features, but I have done the basics - get my data onto Amazon servers!
Advantages:
The better companies offering this service usually has other web services as well. It's not the scope of this Resource to go into these, but they are worth looking into!
Likelihood of data loss is amongst the lowest of all methods of backing up your data.
Once you are familiar with your chosen service, it's easy to do.
Usually comes with its own browser, specially suited for backups, restore, and pertinent file information you need.
There are some pretty-competitive-priced packages out there.
The better ones come with scheduled backups.
Disadvantages:
These do cost money. They're a service. However, they usually do come with free packages, which will offer, for example, a free Gigabyte of storage.
You must have an Internet connection to access the service, uploading or downloading your files.
Uploads can be extremely slow. Downloading is usually faster of course.
If your connection fails during a large batch of files, it can be arduous trying to find which files uploaded, which ones are not complete uploads, and which ones did not upload at all.
This gets worse if you are uploading more than one job!

It's a good time for me to review this area also. i work as a songwriter & music producer and my operating basis for recording is to keep all audio & production files on an external drive which works more efficiently with the production software.. so in this situation i also need a back up of my external drive..
On a kinda related topic i just implemented the use of the WordPress plugin "UpdraftPlus Backup" to automatically do a full site backup to my Google Drive once a week.. it does make you sleep a little easier at night :~)
