Before you write content you need a keyword and on page SEO strategy so you can get your permalink structures and your SEO tiles right, preparation is all things when wanting to rank in Google

Your keyword loaded permalinks, also play an important role in your internal linking strategy, if you use relevant or exact match anchor text to the page you are linking to it will boost your on page SEO score

Example - If I want to link to a post called "On Page SEO your complete Guide", on my site, if I use the anchor text "On Page SEO" in the link, google see this as relevant because the words are in the permalink structure and the title.
