Let's start with how you log in to your Wordpress dashboard
Inside your Wealthy Affiliate site, click on the SiteRubix button a new additional menu will then open, click on Site Manager that will take you to the Site Manager page.
When you are in the Site Manager page
Choose your site, click on the big blue Log in button, that opens a new window that shows you the log in details, your username and generated password. You will need those if you decide to log in to your site without going through the Wealthy Affiliate site. however now when you are in SiteRubix manager page, just click on theblue Login Now button that will take you to the Wordpress dashboard of your page.
This is the Wordpress dashboard page
This is where you can do your magic, so let's create the first post. In the left menu, click on posts, that'll open a sub menu, click Add New , then a new post is created and you will be directed to the edit page of the post you just created in Wordpress.
This is where you edit your post
On this page you can edit and place your content as you please. Start with adding a title for your post, don't forget to add your keyword in the title.
When the title is done, move below the text editor and start filling up your post with quality content. The content can be text, images, videos and so on.
Now, you can edit and customize your text with the help of the texteditor, you can change text into headings, text links, tables, lists and so on, I will cover the text editor in another tutorial.
When you are done with this you'll have three options in the menu on the right side, I'll explain each option and what it does and what I recommend you do.Option one : Preview When you click this button your post will open in the browser window and you get a preview of how it will look in a browser.
Option two : Save Draft When you click this button your post will be saved as a draft, that means it will not show for anyone else than you.
Option three : Publish When you click this button your post will be published to the Internet and be visible to everyone on the Internet.
I recommend that you always save as draft when you are working on a new post, make sure you have doubled checked and triple checked everything before you click Publish. It is easier to change things before it is published and it does not have any effect on the search engines.
Congratulation, You have now created your first Wordpress post. Next page will cover how to add images, videos to your text.
