The Significance of Search Intent

Each of the four types of search intent gives you intuitions into the content style you need to write for your ideal audience, based on their thesis behind the search. This will not alone make it easier for you to come up with great content plans and ideas, but will also help you see how they can suffice your clients’ needs and help you hit the SERPs in no distant time.

When you try optimizing content for search intent, your site will have a better chance of getting noticed because you’ve strategically positioned yourself in front of your target audience.

You’ll start boosting your organic rankings in SERPs because you understand the wants and needs of your clients precisely.

Optimizing Your Content for Search Intent

I’ll analyze the four types of search intent and state how you can optimize your content for Search Intent.

Informational Search Intent

These search queries are used when the user is searching for a piece of information or looking for a solution. Informational searches come in the form of questions, such as “What is”, “Why are”, when the user is looking for a long-form, detailed guide, or just a concise answer.

When it comes to optimizing content for informational search intent, you need to include intent modifiers in your keywords. Intent modifiers are a combination of words that signify intent, because they change the connotation of the search when they are used.

In order to improve your content and page for informational intent, leverage the questions your readers ask you in key positions such as URL, headings, subheads, descriptions, and page title.

Glad you found this training helpful, Alan! Really appreciate you bookmarking it! Optimizing your content for search intent will help ensure that you start getting some decent amount of organic traffic, especially now that Google has just updated its search algorithm with BERT - a machine learning system that is made to understand natural language better than RankBrain. Thanks for your time!

I've written a training tutorial about Google BERT. I hope you've read that! You can check it out at leisure. Thanks for your time!

So is a squeeze page like a landing page? Where can I find a model that shows me how to use it?

I would like to feature some of the products on my website for the Christmas season. Can I do this with a squeeze page? How could I do that? Show the product and an image and give a link to the post where it can be found? Uncertain how to do what I want to do.

Hey Fran, thanks for leaving a thought! Yes, a squeeze page can mean the same as a landing page, and you can use that to feature any product you have on your site for the upcoming Christmas season. Yes, you can show the product, an image and the link directing to the post on your site where readers can find it. All is possible in an effective email marketing system. I'd recommend you set up an ideal email marketing system with MailChimp. You can start for free. And if need be, I may have to write a guide on this in one of my future training resources. Thanks for reading!

Excellent! I am curious: did you write this training or are you sharing it from a different source you found. If the latter is true, you need to give them credit. Like I did when I shared the list of themes. I said: I searched for WP themes and found this list.

Yes, I wrote this training fresh, unique and original out of great passion, Paula. No one is allowed to share content already published elsewhere at WA at all.
