When you first heard about Google BERT, how did it sound to you? Anyway, it’s all about Google’s most recent search algorithm.
Just some days ago, Google announced a completely new update to its search algorithm. It is called BERT. By calling it BERT, it symbolizes the “Greatest change of the past 5 years” and “A particular update that is going to impact one in 10 searches”. Google categorically stated that this is an important search algorithm update that should be paid attention to by every blogger or webmaster.
There has been a drastic change to Google search over the past few years, and if you want to stay most relevant and overcome your search space, then you must put in your very best to both improve your website SEO for more visibility in search engine result pages (SERPs) and understand what the adventure is in the search world. BERT is one of the most crucial things to check out for.
To handle things from the right perspective, BERT is made to impact one for every 10 search queries in reference to changing the results that rank for those search queries. For example, websites like the New York Times have now been affected since they've got a drastic drop in their search visibility and organic traffic.
This, of course, means that targeting single phrases is becoming redundant and you should cover a topic as thoroughly as possible. Especially targeting misspelled or incomplete sentences will be redundant as Google will know what the user actually means.
For our websites, I think you have hit the nail on the head - we just need to keep producing quality content and offering answers to people's questions. Then we will be ok.
There will be more information soon about BERT as more people explore its capabilities. I look forward to hearing more.
