VI: Conclusion

My intention in this turorial is not to teach you Internet Marketing. My intention is to help you over the “bumps in the road.” I suggest the following:

1. Do what Kyle and Carson and others here recommend. Make sure your expectations match realities. Set major goals but bread each goal down into “steps for success.” Let’s see if I can give you an example:

Major Goal: Be able to make a living by Internet Marketing that will make me independent of other employment.

A. Study my likes, dislikes and passions. What would I do if nothing could stop me?

B. What knowledge do I have or could I obtain to focus on a passion. Could I find a market for a niche in that area?

C. What are the people in in this like. Can I find a forum or chat room to talk to them? What are their desires and wants? Will they buy products if offered?

D. When these folks get on the Internet, what do they search for, what do they buy, and what keywords do they use when they make a search.

E. What is the competition like? What do their websites look like? How are they enticing their customers. What products and service are they offering. What are they giving away. What information are they supplying to their readers?

F. Decide what information should go on your web pages. Is it original and useful? Prepare the information. Find some products to promote.

G. Build a website. Add a form to collect names and addresses. Add your content and products.

H. Use free traffic methods to drive traffic to your site. Tweek your site to improve acceptance. When profible. Mimic what you did with another site if you think your first site is optimized.

Now, that is sort of a rough outline. Any one of these steps could be broken down further to make things easier for you.

Small steps will become miles in your development.

2. Your business plans at WAU are the tutorials. So you can build your business step-by-step by following the tutorials closely, not taking shortcuts, or skipping steps. As you go about your business, do what Kyle and Carson says to do. That is test your results, learn from your mistakes, and keep moving forware.

3. Don’t let technology grind you down. Simple websites can be productive. If you use WordPress, you can build a site in a very short time. Study the themes carefully and choose one that will suit your market. Send me a PM if you want to know what to add to your site or just search for a tutorial. I suggest you look at Jay’s WAbinars. He goes step-by-step.

4. Use the funnel concept to bring in the birds.

5. Use JAAXY for keyword research if possible. It will not only give you the keywords you need but it will show you the competition, help you find a domain (.com, .org, or .net only please), and it will help you find affiliate programs to join.

6. I think it was Kyle who said to keep a small notebook to remind yourself what you want to accomplish each day. My wife’s care giver hands me one when she sends me out for groceries. That way, I don’t forget the pie dough.

7. Time management is important. If you are working a full-time job, you don’t have all the time in the world. But you can do a few things to become more efficient. You could use breaks and lunch periods to perform a few tasks if you take a laptop computer to work. You can get up a bit earlier or go to bed a bit later. Just don’t rob your family of the time they need with you. Well, don’ sleep in on the weekends. (Now, I’m taking all the time our of life.)

That’s All Folks!
