Let's start with the obvious question ...

Why connect Google Drive to your Wordpress media library?

Well ... The free cloud storage offered by Google Drive is extremely popular and MANY people use it to store and share their images ...

And Google Drive comes with an additional benefit ... It also connects to the Google Photos app which will automatically backup all the images from your mobile devices to your Google account.

So, if you run a Wordpress website, then connecting your Google Drive account to your Wordpress media libray could be a great idea, because Google Drive will allow you to quickly and easily import images stored on your drive, your mobile devices and your phone.

And it's easier than you think ... So, I've decided to create this short tutorial where I will show you how easy is to connect Google Drive with your Wordpress media library.

Another excellent idea. Thank you for the detailed instructions. Can't wait to give it a try. I do have 2 questions. They are kind of related to each other.

1. Where do I look to find out how fast or slow the app is working for my WordPress? You posted 2 pictures for the performance.

2. Is the performance or speed slower if I add another application(s) in addition to Google drive such as cloud storage and/or drop box?

Thank you for putting this together!!! You come up with amazing ideas.

I'm using Pingdom for speed tests

No, the plugin load is the same regardless of your connected storage platforms

This is something I like to dive into, thanks, you can upload from Google drive, but can you also upload the complete media library to Google drive with this plugin?
