We are going to use a handy plugin called Timeline Express.

This awesome plugin comes with a bunch of extremely useful features. Here are the main features included in the free version:

• hundreds of Font Awesome icons included (you can use different icons for each announcement)

• you can even hide the date of the announcement on the timeline
• you can hide the "Read More" link for each announcement on the timeline
• you can specify a custom image to display for each announcement on the timeline
• you can specify "Ascending" vs "Descending" display order for announcements on the timeline
• free extensions
• localized date formatting, for international users
• translated for international users

And no wonder, it's a quite big plugin (2.66 MB), so let's see the usual speed tests ...
