Link Checker
If you aren’t sure of what backlinks are and why you need to always check them out, here’s a good time to know. Backlinks (or inbound links) are crucial links from external pages directing back to your website.
In other words, if an external site creates a post about your brand and adds a link to your website to that post, you’ll generate a backlink. External backlinks play a crucial role in improving Google PageRank. So, it’s a great idea to build website backlinks.
For the time being, you may have to check first for any existing external links your site has got so far. If it’s a just created website, you may assume there’s no generated backlink yet. Needless to say, a link checker will let you know the number of external backlinks you’ve got back to your website as well as the intensity of the page hosting those links. Here are some powerful link checker tools you can leverage:
- OpenLinkProfiler: Being a free backlink checker, OpenLinkProfiler can help check the backlinks across your site, and thus enable you to have them all exported in a CSV file. As far as leveraging a free tool is concerned, this is a strong one for that matter.
- SEMRush: Though this is not a free tool, it is worth the cost. It offers not a backlink checking service alone, but many other related services. SEMRush can also be leveraged to check the backlinks of your competitors.
- Backlinkwatch: This is another backlink checker similar to OpenLinkProfiler. Backlinkwatch will give you full reports about your site backlinks, the websites from which they’re linked, the number of outbound links (the less you have on your site, the better for SEO), and the Google PageRank.
Thanks this will be in my archives for reference as I make those decisions
