What was the best site feedback I was given?
I was given lots of - great site, well done, great work so far, etc
For these I am so grateful - it did keep me encouraged and especially when starting out - you need that!
But the feedback that was a game changer for me was this -
"Overall, I think your site has good content; however when I get on it and look at it, it just does not look all that exciting."
He then went on to give practical tips on how to change things to make them better.
How did I respond?
"I was totally gutted when you said my site was uninteresting lol! I took a deep breath, went to make myself a coffee and came back and read my website from beginning to end - and you know what? It was boring as heck!!!
I hope you continue to help others this way. Feedback is what moves us to that next level when we think we have already got there.
Have a great day and THANK YOU!"
I greatly appreciate your approach concerning feedback. I agree and will, in fact, bookmark this to use in further occasions. I benefited from your training because it’s brief and goes to the point.
I liked your story concerning the occasion when you received "Overall, I think your site has good content; however when I get on it and look at it, it just does not look all that exciting." That reminded me of a short comic, right here at WA, that you may enjoy reading :) Giving constructive feedback to site owners I’ll follow you here at WA! Please continue to upload useful trainings as this one! Keep well! All the best! :)
PD: I really love the graphics you made for this training. Keep up the good work! :)
