Of course, you shouldn't be limited to just the Widgets that Wordpress ships with. There are all number of plugins that produce Widgets. If there's something you want in a Widget area that you're not sure how to add, just Google PROBLEM + Widget Plugin. Chances are you'll find one that you can use.

Simply copy the name of the Plugin into the Plugin Search field at Plugins >> Add New.

New Widgets are added to the 'Available Widgets' section to be used just like other widgets.
