Hey there,

In this video, I'm going to be showing you how to access and use the image finder function on siteContent.

To get to siteContent, go to:

siteRubix > siteContent

Once you are on the siteContent screen, choose the way you want to access your article:

  1. Edit an existing article
  2. Start writing a new article

If you decide to start writing a new article you can select either:

  1. Start from a blank document
  2. Use a template

Either way you decide to go, you will land on the same text editor.

Finding The Image Tool

The image tool stands out as it is the ONLY colored button on your text editor's edit menu bar.

Click on it and you will see that you have three options to insert images.

  1. Search
  2. Upload your own
  3. Insert from recent images

When you insert your image, you can resize it and align it so that your text can wrap around it.

And that's how you insert images with siteContent. Be sure to watch the video for a live demo.

Great tutorial Marlinda ... Thank YOU!
Liked and tagged for future sharing.

PS: it is NOT necessary to link all your images if you have no need to do so.

Thanks, glad you enjoyed it and I appreciate you saving this to help others :) I link all images because people think differently.

Some look at images to link so I usually always find something relevant to link to them. As people become more visual, images also draw more attention like videos.

That's how I see it but to each his own so you're right as well. Thanks for watching and commenting. :)

Hi Trish and Marlinda,

How do we delete an image from SiteContent?

I thought the images from SiteContent end up in the Media File in WordPress, so I went to delete an image and it's not there. It remains in SiteContent. From now on I will just add the images in WordPress and use SiteContent for writing :)

The images SHOULD be in your Media Library Patsy. Try refreshing your browser with the Media Library open to see if that fixes it.

Also ... click on the text tab and look at the image URL to see where it is being hosted.

Hope that helps you.

Hi, it still doesn't show in the Media Library I refreshed it.

What text tab, in SiteContent?

I had removed the image from the content so it's sitting in the images section.

Hi Trish, I opened it in a new tab and it has 'uploads and SiteContent' in it.

Thanks

Hmmm ... the HTML link SHOULD reveal EXACTLY where it is locate Patsy, so ... I'm at a loss as to how to advise you.

If you send me a screen print of the TEXT version of the image link in a private message ... maybe that way I can help.

I'm confused. Did you figure out where it was stored on your site Patsy?

It's still on SiteContent but I can't delete it.
It's not in the Media Library but the URL for it shows amazon and other things in the URL and Trish told me it's in WA.

I had deleted it from my own computer picture files thinking it would delete from SiteContent and the URL would be blank but no.

Then...I did a Google search and it's out there!!
Why?

I did not publish anything.

All I did was write up content in SiteContent, loaded the image to see what it would look like and didn't want it anymore. Now it's out for all public to see it!

I sent Kyle the details, both URLs for the image location and the Google search. This should not have happened, I didn't publish it.

I only use SiteContent to write out my content then I take it to Wordpress to finish it off. I'm never doing this again!

Hey James, I'll do a video on this to show you how to upload photos through siteContent :) If you are trying to get images from anywhere you have to save them to your computer or a storage device that can be input into your computer like an external HD or SD card.

Thanks for the questions :)
