Sharing Comments

Part of the training here takes us to several different threads where we can ask our fellow Wealthy Affiliate members for help to get comments started on a post or page. This is a valuable step in the process and one that can be a tremendous help.

Read The Post Or Page First

While it seems obvious that you should read the content before posting a comment, I bring it up for important reasons. Your comments should directly address what the topic of the content is about and reference specific points from it. Asking questions about the material is also a key way of leaving a comment and you need to make sure that the answer is not there before asking!

Give A Thoughtful Comment

When you leave your comment don't just rush through to leave something there. Think about what the topic was and what was the author trying to get across. Referencing specific points from the content will also help to give validity to your comment. Do not leave vague comments as they are basically nothing more then spam.

Asking Questions

Asking questions in your comments is another valuable way of leaving a comment. When asking questions, make sure that you are staying on topic to the content. If there is a way to get notified of replies to your comment, I suggest that you use that so you know when it is answered. It is also important to stop back to acknowledge the answer and let the author know that your question has been satisfied.

Really great - as usual! You are saying things that should just be common sense, but it seems we all need to be reminded of what that is. Great practical tips too. Clear and easy to read! Like you just said yourself - if there are just long paragraphs - I can't be bothered to read it.

I have found in life that often people need a little reminder about the common sense things. Glad you liked it! Thanks.

After reading this I went straight to my site and turned off the "comment authors must sign in" box to promote more spontaneous discussion! Thanks for the tips!

That honestly is one of my personal pet peeves when I visit sites and I have always been that way even before coming to WA. Thanks for stopping by and glad you enjoyed it.

Great training! There seems to be a lot of confusion about the proper etiquette when swapping comments. It only takes a few extra seconds on everyone's part to really help each other enormously.
