When it comes to running a campaign or an advert, there are metrics you should watch out for. These metrics show the degree of success your campaign has gained. One of these important metrics is Click-through Rate (CTR).
Let us borrow a definition for CTR from Wikipedia.
The word RATE on its own tells us that ration is involved. CTR shows the ration of users or your audience who clicked on a particular link compared to the total number of users who visited your webpage.
They click on the link with the aim of visiting a landing page containing what you have to offer. As such advertisers use these essential metrics to determine the success of the programs.
By this, they can ascertain how many users did click their links to visit their landing pages. Mind you, this measure (CTR) will not give you the ratio of people that saw your ads and did not engage the link, even if they still visited your website.
