???What Was That???

Once you get started it is much easier. I've been on Twitter for 5 years but never really spent any time or effort there until recently. I think it is a great social network now.

Set up my account. Set up my business ID. Got profile and header pics. That was the easy part. The rest is overwhelming! I'm suffering from sensory overload, help! How does the communication with others on twitter really work?

Just take it slow, you have achieved loads already! It will take a little while to get used to it.

Communication happens in the following ways:
- you check your main feed which is where all the tweets from the people you follow will show up. If you see something interesting there you can interact with that person by favoriting their tweet, retweeting (sharing) their tweet or replying to their tweet.
- when you tweet you are interacting with others because your followers will see your tweet.
- You can tweet directly to someone or mention someone. To tweet directly to someone go to their profile and just below their name you will see an option to send a tweet to that person. You can also mention people in your tweet by just including their @Name in your tweet.
- you can also send direct messages to people. I never use this and never mentioned it because the trend is that people just use it to spam others and I don't like this. I don't get any genuine messages in my inbox ever, I just get automated spam.

Check your notifications to see who has started following you and if anyone is interacting with your tweets or mentioning you.
