Because a blog is informal it can break some of the conventional grammar rules (such as never starting a sentence with because). However at the end of the day you need to be able to communicate effectively, so the rules you break can’t be major ones.
Using formats such as
- won’t instead of will not and
- can’t instead of cannot
are still grammatically correct, but often not acceptable in formal writing styles. In blogging they often work well and offer a more relaxed way of engaging with your audience.
However a word of warning - writing in an informal way can sometimes be a lot harder than writing everything formally as you might do for an essay. So go with whatever works best for you.
Use a spell checker and remember some people can be very biased towards poor spelling and refuse to accommodate multiple errors. If your target group is predominantly US based then use a US spell checker, otherwise use an international English check.
Finally a word about formatting .......

I really like your training, and am not trying to offend. The first car my Dad repaired was a 1912 Model T Ford and he did that back in 1914. Since I was born, I was raised with the history of vehicles and the companies that built them. I have never heard an off-roader refer to other vehicles as Jeeps. It has a very interesting history.
For the image tags, you are very correct about Google liking image tags. They also like the key word being used in at least one image tag.
