What about the Website Usability?

What is your first impression when you visit the site? Is it obvious what the site is about?

Put yourself in the mind-frame of someone wanting to get answers from the site. Once you see what the site is about, think of a related question and see if you can get an answer for it on the site.

Is the site easy to navigate? Do the menus make sense? When you click on something, do you end up where you expect to end up?

What stood out? What impressed you about the site? Or what frustrated you about it?

If you could change one thing, what would it be?

Think about these things as you are going through the site and let the website owner know your impressions.

And what about effective ways to give this feedback? ....

Cheers for this, you really covered absolutely everything. There have been some sites that have been so good, I found it hard to review but you have showed me other aspects to look out for.

Good to hear that it helped. If you think of anything else to add, please leave it here in the comments so I can add it. :)

Thanks for the great training. I only just discovered the actual Feedback area of the SiteRubix tab on the left (https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/website-feedback) and I love how you have to give TWO reviews, before you can even ask for reviews on your site. I try to review at least 3-4 sites every day as part of my online training. Sarah

Thanks for posting. I didn't know feedback should be 250 words minimum and never heard of favicon.

Glad you learned something new!
I hadn't heard of a favicon until a couple of weeks ago when someone giving feedback gave me the suggestion. :)

Thanks for your training. Good site is not much to go on when someone reviews your site. Give great information and you will get great information.

I agree totally, Chris. I get frustrated when I get feedback like that (Good Site). I'm asking for feedback because I really need someone else's view on my work! :)

Awesome post! I thought that it really helped me kind of understand what I should be looking for when I am critiquing another person's website. And, yes! Grammar and Misspellings are always something that I find on many users' websites. Your really did a good job of pointing out the small things that could really make huge differences to people's sites. This was definitely a favorite blog post of mine. I definitely made sure to favorite this post as it contained some very eclectic information. I hope other commentators get a chance to see this post, it will really open their eyes and make them think differently about how they critique other people's work here on WA. Fantastic Job :)

Glad you like it.
It's true, they are all small things. But put together, they make a BIG difference!
