Effective ways to give feedback:
Obviously you can just write comments you have to give feedback. But I've discovered other methods that are helpful as well:
- Illustrate your point using a screenshot. (https://monosnap.com/welcome is a free online screenshot program) I use it to point out a big empty space, an image that needs alteration, a particular section that has many typos, etc. It is much easier to use a picture than trying to describe what you are talking about.
- Send a private message if there is something that you think the other person might not like to be pointed out publicly - a lot of spelling or grammar mistakes, inappropriate material, etc.
- Provide links to tutorials that would help the person make a change you are suggesting. A person is more likely to use the suggestion if they don't have to hunt around to figure out how to implement it.
- Though we all want constructive criticism, make sure to point out the positives as well as the things that need improvement!!
And finally....

Cheers for this, you really covered absolutely everything. There have been some sites that have been so good, I found it hard to review but you have showed me other aspects to look out for.

Thanks for the great training. I only just discovered the actual Feedback area of the SiteRubix tab on the left (https://my.wealthyaffiliate.com/website-feedback) and I love how you have to give TWO reviews, before you can even ask for reviews on your site. I try to review at least 3-4 sites every day as part of my online training. Sarah

Awesome post! I thought that it really helped me kind of understand what I should be looking for when I am critiquing another person's website. And, yes! Grammar and Misspellings are always something that I find on many users' websites. Your really did a good job of pointing out the small things that could really make huge differences to people's sites. This was definitely a favorite blog post of mine. I definitely made sure to favorite this post as it contained some very eclectic information. I hope other commentators get a chance to see this post, it will really open their eyes and make them think differently about how they critique other people's work here on WA. Fantastic Job :)
