There is another way that you can schedule your content for publishing, and if you find this way easier for you then by all means use it. But personally for me I prefer not to use this way because I want total control as to when and how I publish my content. Does that make me a control freak? Not really but I have good reasons for why I feel this way.
The reasons I want total control of when my content is published are... 1) I want to make sure that everything is perfect with the content and only then do I publish it. 2) Immediately after publishing my content I ALWAYS go into Google Search Console, formerly known as Google Webmaster Tools, and initiate a Fetch as Google and Submit to Index, so that my content gets indexed within a couple of hours.
And 3) I want to have flexibility as to what content gets published and when. Sometimes I may decide to publish content that I have as a saved draft, sooner than I originally planned. If I set a date and time to publish, then decide to change it, I will have to go and reschedule everything. That is just too much extra work than if I manually decide to click the Publish button.
Setting a time and date for publishing your content, as depicted in the above image, would work well if you are scheduling one piece of content and you know you will not be available on your scheduled publishing date. But to use it for setting up a mass amount of pages and posts to publish, I would recommend you NOT use it for this purpose.
