Being that one of the factors of how well your website content ranks in Google is the consistent nature in how to publish your content, it is important to come up with a posting schedule. So try to think ahead for the next 52 weeks. Right there you will need to publish at least 52 times. This will be a combination of pages and posts.
Depending on your niche and what you wish to present to your readers, and as an example, it could mean publishing 17 pages and 35 posts. Normally you will be publishing more pages than posts at first. Then as time goes on that would change to more posts than pages. This is mainly because posts compliment and/or add to the content of established “Pillar” pages.
WHAT DO YOU WANT TO SAY
When we all begin our training we are instructed to come up with the framework of our themed pages. NOTE: This has nothing to do with your website theme, different theme altogether. - Try to picture all of the information you want to publish on your website. Don’t worry if you cannot do this because frankly, no one knows exactly how their website will turn out, the process is always evolving.
But what you need to realize is that you will have to publish at least 52 times within the calendar year. That may seem like a lot of content but it really isn’t and it is actually 25% of the amount of pages that many established websites have. You also must realize that you will need to continue to add content for at least a year to have a decent shot of success.
So if you are publishing content at a rate of 3 per week that means you will have 156 pieces of content by years end. Can you see yourself sticking to that schedule? Because as I pointed out in my training about the importance of a posting schedule, for better website rankings you need to post on a consistent ongoing schedule and not 3 here and 1 there and 2 there.
Consistent means 2 this week and 2 every week afterwards. It also means publishing on the same day of the week, doesn't matter what time. Google loves seeing a consistent schedule of content being posted and will reward your website overall with better rankings. So how are you going to implement this plan? That is easy! Let me explain how I do it.
