Ok it's time to set ourselves up with a "lens". Quick note on "lenses":
Q: What is a lens?
A: I already answered that, sheesh go to the introduction! ;) A lens is a one page website that host all your products you want to showcase or sell. It is simple in design and built to be SEO (search engine optimization) compliant. This means all the hard work is done for you! You just add your stuff!
A couple of the "Squidoo Resources" here at WA have already noted this so all credit goes to them. Use this quick tip to save time and energy:
- Log into Squidoo.
- Think of what you want to advertise or start making money on. (ex: Big Screen TVs).
- In the address bar of your browser window, after the address "http://www.squidoo.com/" start typing what you want to advertise to see if the "lens" is still free and up for grabs! So in this case I would type: "http://www.squidoo.com/BigScreenTVs" and hit ENTER!
- One of a couple things will happen. 1.) The "lens" is free for you to use! Congrats! There will be a link in the middle of that page that tells you to click to take over the lens. It will look like this:
- If you don't see this page above, the lens you want isn't available for you to use. So, start over with a new idea for a lens OR try this little trick: http://www.squidoo.com/big-screen-tvs or http://www.squidoo.com/big_screen_tvs either will work and sometime you can get what you want just by changing the format! Congrats again!
