1. Include Images and Videos in Your Blog Posts

Most bloggers are used to just having written content on their blogs. But you can surely do better than that. How about having your audience see in pictures or video what you are trying to tell them in your content?

Research made it clear that content with images enjoys 94% more views than those without any. Interestingly, only 19% of bloggers care to include videos in their posts. How about the 81% left? Do you belong to this category?

If you do, then it is high time you became more creative and added visuals to your content. Just a little creativity will give you a competitive advantage over other bloggers in your niche.

2. Use Real Images or Make Your Own Design

As a better option to using stock images, you can use real images for a change. Several blog owners sort for free stock images. This is better than if your content is without any image at all. There are free stock images and paid stock images that you can choose from.

However, you can do more than using stock images by using real images. This can help you increase the conversion rate by 35%. You can also get your own images designed for you using specialized tools like Canva and Crello, etc. These free designs can be customized to suit your style and blog. You can easily adjust the dimensions, so they can be fit for social sharing.

3. Get Your Image Optimized for Search

Your image needs to be seen by search engines. So you have to label them correctly for SEO using an alt tag. This is really simple to do. Just save the picture on your desktop, then right-click on it and select rename. You will then rename your image using the primary keyword.

When you include a named image in your post, it makes it possible for Google to see and identify it. Do not forget to add alt texts and descriptions to your images on WordPress.

Hi Israel,

Excellent training, thank you and I have this bookmarked.

The "how to...", I'm really glad you brought that up because I keep forgetting that headline. I can see using the "How to" like "how to rank in Google", or "how to be your own boss"... but what about when I'm doing reviews?

Most welcome, Monica! Even for reviews, you can still leverage the "how-to" stuff. For example, if you are to write a review of Wealthy Affiliate on your blog, you can let the headline go this way: "Wealthy Affiliate Review (2020): How to earn $10,000+ monthly working at home". I hope this helps!

Thank you Israel,

You just nailed it again. so many of us miss it with our images. We don't take optimization serious.

And this is very key for user experience and speed

That's true, Ayodeji. As a matter of fact, I'm going to take it as an obligation to add visuals to my training tutorials including the old ones for that matter. This will, of course, help improve user experience and satisfy user intent.
