Paint has been around for a long time and I am sure most of us are at least aware of it. What I have found to be less known though, is how easy it is to crop & resize your images with it. Today I will be walking you through some simple tips on how to do these things.

Lets begin...

First we need to open the image in paint. There are two ways to do this. The first way is to open Paint and open the file from there.

Once you click to open the image you just need to go select it from the folder that you have the image saved in.

The second way is to right click on a file and select the Open With and then select the Paint Program.

Either way you will now have your image open in the Paint Program.

Thanks James. You have a much newer version of Paint than I do, but I may have to upgrade. I do most of my work with PhotoShop, but Paint loads up much faster, and for simple jobs like resizeing and cropping it would be the best tool to use. Thanks again.

Thanks Rick I appreciate your feedback. I know there are lots of other programs, but few are as simple and easy to use as Paint. I use Paint for the simple easy jobs and other tools for when I need to do more.

Thanks James, I'm usually pretty crafty with paint but I have been trying to work out how to combine 2 Images Into 1 for a while, cheers.

Thanks Chris. Funny part is I almost skipped that part and then remembered it at the last moment. First three comments here all pointed out the same thing.

You could do that in Gimp. It's OpenSource so it's free (works exactly as Photoshop) Also you could find a lot of tutorials how to use Gimp on YouTube. Hope that helps.
