4. Website disabled by Hosting Company

It is a usual practice for hosting companies to scan their servers. They do it searching for activities that negatively affect their system. On detecting it from any website, they disable them. The following are the reasons your website can be disabled by your hosting company.

    1. If they receive any form of spammed messages from your server
    2. A sudden increase in CPU usage by your website due to the activities of hackers on your website
    3. If they detect Malware code on your website

    5. Your Email Broadcast Lands In spam Folders

Many times hackers send spam mails with the aid of malware from websites that they hacked. When this happens to mails from your website, email servers will blacklist your server and its IP address.

So the mails from your website land on the spam folders of your recipient. It is not a good business for you. Your recipients won’t see them, and it tarnishes your reputation.

      6. Your website becomes slow, Unresponsive and sends Error messages

Malware is fond of trying to utilize resources from victims servers. You will notice when your server is slow and unresponsive. They use fake IPs and send several requests to your server, or they are trying to break into your website. These sets of activities will make your website slow and highly unresponsive.

It does not mean that when your website is slow, it is has been attacked. There are several reasons why your website can be slow and unresponsive. Things like poor image optimization, plug-in updates, and poor website optimization may result in a slow website.

So you must check your website properly

Great information, I guess there are some very resourceful people out there, being one step ahead is the difference between having a bit of a bad week to having a truly disastrous week.

        👍

I now have a folder in my Gmail menu that is purely for your training, the only other folder I have named is Nataniell’s, because like you the snippets are gold.

        Yes Cordelia,

We have to be steps ahead, and this will come from the right information. It will also help us protect our work from hackers and other miscreants out there.

I am highly challenged hearing that you created a folder for my pieces of training in your Gmail box. This is a challenge to do more and create informative content.
Also, it is an honour I do not take for granted.

        Thank you

        Hi Lew,
I appreciate that phrase "heads up information ". It is important we are always on our toes protecting that which is ours from fraudulent and malicious miscreants out there.

I am glad you found it engaging. Although a lot of us here are on WA hosting which is highly secured as I mentioned. But we need to be aware to watch out against these malicious elements activities.

These are good ways to check and see if your website is being hacked friend. Number 4 was a surprised to me. I didn't know that a hosting company can disable your website if they suspect spamming or hacking activities even though you are paying to have your website running. I guess I'm always learning something. Thanks for an informative post. All the best!

        Hi John,

I appreciate the time taken to see the training. Hosting companies do that to keep their servers free from Malware. This will also protect other client's website from getting affected.
